At Heritage Homes we also welcome clients with their own plans and specification and would be delighted to offer a free quotation.

Homebond

Your home will almost certainly be the biggest financial investment you will make in your life. Therefore, it goes without saying that peace of mind can only be assured when the property that you are building is guaranteed to be of the highest quality. Heritage Homes offer a Ten Year Structural Guarantee through HomeBond.

HomeBond is a service offered by the National House Building Guarantee Company Limited, it provides added security in the form of watertight guarantees to the purchasers of new privately built houses. Proof of the scheme's success is the fact that more than 270,000 new home owners have already taken advantage of its protection in Ireland.

HomeBond guarantees your home against major structural defects for ten years and against water and smoke penetration during the first two years of the warranty period.

How the HomeBond policy protects the homeowner:

The first of these is the stage payment bond which in itself operates in two tiers.

With the first of these, HomeBond will repay lost deposits or contract payments which result from the bankruptcy or liquidation of a registered builder; subject to a maximum of 15 per cent of the purchase price or €100,000, whichever is the lower. This operates for a two year period from the intial date of registration with HomeBond. Deductions can also be made against amounts payable to ensure a fair balance against value, credits or allowances already received by the home owner.

The second tier operates from the date of the issue of the final notice, which will usually be after the main structural inspection, to the completion and handover of the dwelling. It also provides for financial indemnity cover for the remainder of the contract period to be increased to 50 per cent of the purchase price or €100,000, whichever is the lower.
