On 18 June 2009 officials from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) investigated a site at Ballynakilly Road, Coalisland, owned by Mr McKeever, where a substantial quantity of controlled wastes in the form of end of life vehicles and parts of end of life vehicles was deposited. Approximately 500 End of Life Vehicles were noted on site.

Officials visited the site again on 2 September 2009 and found the controlled waste still on site. The site did not have a waste management licence or a licence to operate as an authorised treatment facility for end of life vehicles.
